Pastoral Care

Our Mission is to assist with the spiritual needs of patients, families and staff; functioning as an integral part of the healthcare team.

The Pastoral Care department at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County is comprised of a staff chaplain, chaplain associates and pastoral care volunteers working together to assure quality pastoral care.

Our pastoral care team is also available to aid in accessing religious spiritual beliefs, attitudes and practices in support of your recovery. We assist with crisis issues across a full range of emotional and spiritual needs.

Pastoral Care at Memorial Hospital is provided for people of all faiths, ethnic background and race. The Chaplain can contact your pastor or church leader or connect you with support from outside the hospital by maintaining effective networking channels with our multiple religious communities. We attend to religious needs by responding to requests for prayer, confession, baptism and other sacraments and perform rituals as requested by patients, families and hospital staff.
